IDENTITY & CALLING

Discover

Before students know exactly where God may lead them, they can begin discovering who they are in Christ and how he has gifted them to serve.

Identity comes before destination.

DEVELOP GIFTS & DIRECTION

Discern

College becomes a season for testing gifts, exploring ministry, and discerning how God may be directing a student's life and vocation.

Calling becomes clearer in community.

THEOLOGY & PRACTICE

Equip

Theological education is strengthened when students are also known, mentored, and connected to the life and ministry of Christ's church.

Formation is more than information.

STAGE 04 · UNDER CARE
SHEPHERD & PREPARE

Support

Candidates should not have to navigate the road to ordination alone. KHP connects them with pastors, peers, churches, and presbyteries who can walk alongside them.

No candidate should walk alone.

Sustain

Ordination is not the finish line. The early years of ministry require encouragement, friendship, coaching, and rhythms that help pastors remain faithful for the long haul.

Faithfulness needs friendship.

INVEST IN THE NEXT GENERATION

Mentor

The pathway does not end when a leader reaches ministry. Faithful leaders turn around and begin walking with those who come after them.

Those who were formed begin forming others.

THE PATHWAY IN PRACTICE

How KHP supports each stage

The pathway is more than a sequence of stages. At each point, KHP connects emerging leaders with relationships, formation, practical support, and the wider church.

YOUTH

Nurture gospel identity and calling through local-church discipleship, mentoring, leadership formation, ministry exposure, and national gatherings.

COLLEGE

Provide discipleship, ministry internships, cohort mentoring, leadership development, mission and ministry opportunities, and preparation for theological training.

SEMINARY

Connect students with contextualized mentorship, scholarship and resource support, theological retreats, practical ministry training, and Reformed seminaries.

UNDER CARE / LICENSURE

Strengthen candidates through national cohorts, coaching, practical exam preparation, ordination support, encouragement, and presbytery connection.

EARLY ORDAINED MINISTRY

Support the first five years through peer groups, seasoned pastoral coaching, continuing education, ministry renewal, and relationships that sustain long-term health.

MULTIPLY

Invite ordained alumni and seasoned leaders to mentor youth and seminarians, coach younger pastors, train others, and help the pathway renew itself from generation to generation.
